CL of 2NE1's American Debut "LIFTED"

My first impression of this song wasn't exactly good, but CL's “LIFTED” has grown on me. I suppose I was subconsciously comparing it to 2NE1 and Kpop in general, but Kpop it is not. It doesn't have a memorable dance or awkward English like a lot of Kpop but what it does have is a memorable hook. Trust me, I've been singing it at random times for days now. However, I still have issues with this song. I find the English a bit awkward at times, but not to the point where it’s unlistenable. I can see how the vibe of the song fits 2NE1’s style and therefore CL’s but I can’t help but feel that her skills are being under utilized. I'm looking forward to her next American release despite all of the issues I have with the song. Besides, I still find myself enjoying it and that’s what really matters right?
